Jackie Brooks is currently in her 12th year overall and in the first year of her second stint with the cross country and track and field programs as Director of Operations. She previously served in the position from 2004-2011, and prior to she served as an administrative assistant for the programs for three years.
Brooks is an alumnus of the Wolfpack track and cross country programs and graduated from NC State in 1999 with a degree in psychology. A member of the cross country and track and field programs from 1995-2000, she was a four-time ACC champion in track, winning the 5000 meters once and the 10,000 meters three times. She was an all-conference performer five times, including 1995 in cross country, and ran on four consecutive ACC championship cross country teams from 1995-98. Moreover, she represented the United States as a member of the 1996 U.S. Junior World team, which competed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Brooks is married to former teammate Michael Brooks. They have one son, Sean, 9, and two daughters, Leah, 6, and Madison, 2.
