Men's Cross Country, Ryan Hill, Win NCAA Regional Championships

State finishes second in the women's race as both the men's and women's teams earn automatic berths to the NCAA Championships.

• Took third place at the season-opening adidas Cross Country Challenge, finishing the 5k course in 14:58.7
• Finished a strong 12th on Sept. 24 at the Roy Griak Invitational, running the 8k course in 24:28.7
• Finished 103rd at the Wisconsin adidas Open on Oct. 14, running the 8k course in a time of 24:50.4
• Ran 19th at the ACC Championships, held Oct. 29 at the Musser Fruit Research Center at Clemson, S.C., and ran the 8k course in a time of 24:03.9
• Finished 14th at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky., completing the 10k course in a time of 30:27.1
• Ran 93rd at the NCAA Championships, running the 10k course in 30:45.3

• Placed fourth in the NCAA Pre-Nationals open race in a time of 24:44
• Finished 23rd at the ACC Championships, running the 8k course in a time of 24:25
• Was NC State's No. 3 runner at the NCAA Southeast Regional, running a time of 31:30 for 10k

• Ran the Wolfpack Invite in a time of 14:53 to take sixth place
• Was NC State's No. 3 runner at the Paul Short Run, finishing 22nd in a time of 24:10
• Finished 22nd at the ACC Championships in a time of 24:16.8
• Was 15th at the NCAA Southeast Regional, running the 10k course in a time of 30:40.01 to earn a spot on the all-regional team

2008
• Competed in five races, including all three postseason meets
