KENERSVILLE, N.C - With a blazing time of 23:37.9, NC State senior Andrew Colley took home the individual title at the 2013 ACC Championships on Friday at Beeson Park in Kernersville, N.C. Colley finished nearly 25 seconds ahead of the field, taking home the individual title after a third-pace finish last year and a runner-up finish in 2011.

"After finishing third last year, this feels great," said Colley. "I can't even describe the feeling. It's even better because I did it in front of my family - my mom, dad, sister and grandparents were here to see it."

Colley joins Wolfpack legend Ryan Hill, who won in 2011, as the second Wolfpack runner to win the individual title in the past three seasons. As a team, the State men were just one of three teams to have two runners finish in the top-ten. Graham Crawford's ninth-place finish, which earned him an All-ACC nomination, helped the Wolfpack to an eighth-place finish overall as a team. Syracuse took home the men's title in its first ACC Championship.

"Andrew was on top of his game today," NC State head coach Rollie Geiger said. "He's such a high-level athlete. His performance today was really great for him, his family and for NC State."

On the women's side, Joanna Thompson earned her third-straight All-ACC nomination after finishing in seventh place with a time of 20:29.6. Emily Pritt, running her first ACC Championship since 2009, finished in 34th place to help State earn a seventh-place finish as a team on Friday.

"When someone like Emily Pritt, whose missed three years and has had their hip shaved, comes out and races like this, I want to have that kind of consistent effort from everybody," NC State women's head coach Laurie Henes said. "We've had a lot of injuries, but none of that bothered them today. We're going to get it together; this is a resilient group. We have two weeks until Regionals so we just have to go back and go to work for two weeks."
