Men's Cross Country Receives At-Large Bid to NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Less than 24 hours after a third place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional, the NC State men’s cross country team received one of 13 at-large bids to next weekend’s NCAA Championships in Louisville, Ky., it was announced Saturday afternoon by the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee. While the women’s team fell just short of an at-large selection, thirty-one teams were selected to participate in each championship on the men’s and women’s sides, respectively. The top two, seven-person teams automatically qualified from each of the nine regions, for a total of 18 teams receiving automatic bids. The University of Louisville will host the NCAA Championships next Saturday, Nov. 17, at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. The starting gun for the men’s race will be triggered at 1:15 p.m. ET.
