    Ryan Mathews and Danny Canela combined to drive in five runs as NC State knocked off Clemson for the second day in a row to take two of three from the Tigers

    As a sophomore (2011)
    • Shifted from shortstop to second base and had a standout season
    • Led the team with 46 RBIs and was second with 15 doubles
    • Led the team with a .330 batting average and 22 RBIs in ACC games
    • Had a 12-game hitting streak from May 8-28 and batted .348 (16-for-46) with four doubles, a home run, six runs scored and 11 RBIs during the streak
    • Batted .347 (33-for-95) with seven doubles, three home runs, 15 runs scored and 25 RBIs in the last 24 games of the season
