    No. 19 Pack Sweeps Doubleheader at Boston College

    NC State roared back from a 5-0 deficit in game one, and ran away with game two to complete a Saturday sweep

    As a junior (2012)
    • Recorded six saves with a 2.91 ERA and 43 strikeouts over 34.0 innings
    • Allowed two earned over his last 11 2/3 innings, rounding into form after two appearances at Florida State for a combined four strikeouts in three innings without allowing a hit
    • Worked an 18 2/3 inning scoreless streak dating back to last season before having it snapped in game two against Georgia Tech
    • Named to the NCBWA's Preseason All-America third team, Stopper of the Year Award watch list, and earned an honorable mention on College Baseball Insider's All-America Team in the preseason
    • Cashed in a save in his first opportunity in the Pack's win over George Mason, striking out two, walking one, and giving up one hit over one inning
    • Threw 1 1/3 innings in game two against Georgia Tech, attempting to save the game, but left with one out in the ninth after snapping his 18 2/3 inning scoreless streak with three runs allowed
    • Received the save by pitching the ninth of game one against Wake Forest
    • Pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits, fanning one, and walking one in the Pack's loss to ECU
    • Pitched 1 1/3 innings in ECU's return visit to Raleigh, walking four and striking out one without allowing a run or hit
    • Worked his way out of a bases loaded, no-out jam, striking out three batters in a row to seal the Pack's 5-1 win over Virginia
    • Suffered his first blown save of the year, allowing three runs on one hit in the ninth inning after pitching a flawless eighth with the bases loaded of State's Sunday win over Virginia
    • Worked a scoreless inning against Maryland Sunday, striking out one and allowing two hits
    • Shut out Elon in the ninth, allowing one hit and striking out three
    • Went 2/3 of an inning for a save Saturday against Clemson, striking out one and holding the Tigers hitless
    • Went the final 1 2/3 innings, striking out five and allowing one earned on two hits Friday against Boston College
    • Earned a pair of saves in the Wolfpack's sweep of CSU Bakersfield
    • Took the loss against Vanderbilt, giving up the game-winning run on Tony Kemp's walk-off RBI single

    As a sophomore (2011)
    • Held opponents to a .205 average (31-for-151) in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings
    • Made 30 appearances, 21 of them scoreless
    • Did not allow an earned run in his last eight appearances, covering 12 2/3 innings
    • Counting the end of the 2011 season and the Cape Cod League during the summer, he enters the 2012 season having worked 45 2/3 consecutuve innings without allowing an earned run
    • Worked four scoreless innings in the ACC Championship, allowing two hits and striking out three without a walk
    • Did not allow a walk in his last 14 2/3 innings, and faced 66 consecutive batters without issuing a walk to end the season
    • Allowed three earned runs Feb. 19 vs. Elon, and four earned runs April 29 vs. Maryland, but was 6-2 with seven saves and a 1.20 ERA in his other 28 appearances
    • Pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief March 1 vs. Davidson to get credit for the win in the Wolfpack's 3-2 victory over the Wildcats
    • Pitched the final 4 2/3 innings March 15 vs. Buffalo and retired 14 of the 16 men he faced to pick up his third win of the season
    • Struck out the only two men he faced March 18 in the first game of the Georgia Tech series
    • Worked 3 2/3 innings March 22 vs. Northwestern and retired 10 of the 11 men he faced, seven on ground balls, to get his fourth win of the year
    • Earned his first save of the season March 26 vs. Clemson, pitching 1 2/3 innings and retiring all five men he faced
    • Pitched three scoreless innings April 2 in the second game of the Wake Forest series, retiring nine of 11 batters faced to record his second save
    • Recorded saves in the first two games of the North Carolina series
    • Worked 1 2/3 innings and set down all five men he faced, three on strikes, to notch his third save April 15 in the UNC series opener
    • Worked the final two innings without allowing a run April 23 to preserve NC State's 6-2 victory over No. 1 Virginia
    • Pitched two shutout innings April 24 in the finale of the Virginia series and retired all six men he faced
    • Worked the last 1 1/3 innings of the final ETSU game and retired all four men he faced to record his fifth save
    • Pitched two innings and struck out three May 15 in the final game of the Florida State series
    • Saw action in all three of the Wolfpack's games at the NCAA Columbia Regional, pitching three innings and allowed just one run, unearned while striking out five
    • Got the save in NC State's 5-2 victory over Georgia Southern in the second round of the regional

    As a freshman (2010)
    • Made eight appearances, six in relief
    • Started April 7 vs. Coppin State and allowed two hits in two scoreless innings
    • Got his first win April 13 vs. NC Central with three shutout innings of work, his longest outing of the season, striking out five without issuing a walk

    Summer league
    • Pitched for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League and was a central figure in Harwich winning the Cape League championship
    • Pitched 33 innings without allowing an earned run
    • Was 2-0 with a save and a 0.00 ERA in a team-high 19 appearances during the regular season, allowing 11 hits and striking out 25 in 28 1/3 innings
    • Made four appearances, all scoreless, in the Cape League playoffs and recorded the save in each of Harwich's three postseason series-clinching victories
    • Pitched a perfect 1-2-3 sixth inning for the East Division squad in the Cape Cod League All-Star game
    • Made two appearances for the Forest City Owls of the Coastal Plain League in 2010

    • Named to The Charlotte Observer's All-Mecklenburg team as a senior in 2009
    • Helped lead Myers Park to a 19-9 record and the Southwestern 4-A Conference tournament championship, pitching a complete game in the tournament championship game
