As a junior (2003): Settled into the third spot in the starting rotation ... Made 10 starts in 17 appearances with one complete-game shutout ... Worked seven innings of five-hit baseball March 15 vs. Old Dominion, allowing a run on five hits, walking four and striking out seven ... Made two appearances out of the bullpen April 26-27 vs. North Carolina, and was excellent in both ... Allowed two runs, both unearned, on three hits in two innings to get the victory in the middle game of the series April 26, and then allowed just one run on six hits in 4-2/3 innings in the series finale April 27 ... Had perhaps the Wolfpack's best outing of the season May 23 vs. Georgia Tech in the second round of the ACC Tournament, shutting out the 10th-ranked Yellow Jackets on six hits with one walk and six strikeouts ... Gave the Wolfpack seven solid innings in the finals of the NCAA Wilson Regional vs. Western Carolina ...
