Pack Hosts Fall Preview This Weekend

NC State baseball will host three intrasquad scrimmages this weekend, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Doak Field at Dail Park

As a freshman (2012)
• Managed a 2.70 ERA and 3-0 record through 14 appearances including one start. Struck out 17 over 23.1 innings
• Made his first appearance in the Pack's win over West Virginia, striking out one and walking one in the ninth inning without giving up a hit or run
• Threw 3 1/3 innings, giving up one earned run with two strikeouts in game one against Georgia Tech
• Pitched an extraordinary 4 2/3 innings of relief against Old Dominion, striking out four, shutting out the Monarchs while allowing just one hit
• Pitched the final 2/3 of an inning in the Sunday game at Maryland, allowing the winning sac fly
• Gave up a two-run homer in the eighth against Elon, striking out one
• Started in the Wolfpack's loss at Campbell, going two innings, giving up two hits and one earned run for a no decision
• Pitched the final inning of the Pack's 9-0 win over Boston College, retiring three Eagles in order with one strikeout
• First out of the bullpen in State's midweek win over Charlotte, going 1 1/3 allowing one hit and no runs with three strikeouts
• Allowed two earned over three innings against Sacred Heart to record his first career save
• Faced one batter in game one of the Gainesville Super Regional

High school
• A two-time all-state performer for coach Charlie Spivey at Lee County High School
• Went 6-4 with a 1.80 ERA as a senior in 2011, striking out 99 and walking just 19 in 70 innings
• Was an Under Armour All-American
• An all-state selection as a junior in 2010 after going 11-4 with a 2.44 ERA and pacing Lee County to the finals of the state 4-A playoffs
• Also a three-time all-conference and four-time academic all-conference selection in the Tri-9 Conference
• Played in the State Games of North Carolina for the second year in a row
