As a junior (2005): Had an absolutely remarkable season pitching in middle relief and providing a reliable bridge from the Wolfpack's starting pitcher to All-America closer Joey Devine ... Allowed just two earned runs in 35 2/3 innings from March 25 vs. Lehigh through May 27 vs. Clemson in the ACC Tournament ... Had a streak of 21 consecutive scoreless innings snapped April 30 vs. North Carolina, and allowed just 10 hits, walked five and struck out 27 during the scoreless streak ... Held opposing hitters to a .193 batting average, best mark on the staff ... Allowed just eight of 19 inherited runners to score for the season, and allowed only three of the last 12 ... Threw 2 1/3 hitless and scoreless innings February 22 at The Citadel to pick up the win ... Struck out two while only allowing one run on three hits in 4.1 innings of relief March 25 against Lehigh, beginning his scoreless-innings streak over the final 1 2/3 innings he pitched in that game ... A&T, allowing a run on one hit in two innings. Summer league: Played for the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League in 2003, fashioning a 2-2 record with a 2.73 ERA in 12 appearances, three of them starts ...
