    As a sophomore (2005): Was the staff workhorse, leading the Wolfpack in starts and innings pitched ... Was the only pitcher on the staff who did not make at least one appearance in relief ... Started and went four shutout innings February 5 vs. Delaware State, allowing three hits and striking out five, and got the win in a prearranged three-way pitching split ... Started and went 5 2/3 innings February 19 against San Diego State, earning the win after allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts ... Pitched five innings March 1 vs. UNC Greensboro, allowing just one earned run on five hits to run his record to 3-0 ... Tossed a no-hitter March 12 against Maryland ... Struck out a career-high 11 as the Terrapins never came close to a base hit ... Allowed the Terps just one unearned run on a walk, a groundball and an error ... The no-hitter earned him national and ACC Pitcher of the Week honors ... Won the final game and deciding of the Virginia series April 10 with six shutout innings of three-hit baseball ... Walked two and struck out five Cavalier hitters in a tense 1-0 victory ...     Summer league: Pitched for Bourne of the Cape Cod League in 2005 and finished second in the leauge in wins with a 6-1 record and a 2.55 ERA ...
