Was the starting catcher for the East Division team in the Cape Cod League All-Star Game, played at Boston's Fenway Park
Played for the Forest City Owls of the Coastal Plain League in 2009 and batted .318 with 16 doubles, four home runs and 38 RBIs in 49 regular-season games
