    • Did not allow an earned run in his first seven appearances and eight of his first 10
    • Took a tough-luck loss Feb. 20 vs. Elon, pitching 2 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run
    • Pitched a scoreless inning Feb. 27 vs. Coastal Carolina during the final day's action of Baseball at the Beach
    • Got the win March 5 in the first game of a doubleheader vs. Penn State after allowing three hits and striking out four with no walks in 2 2/3 shutout innings
    • Picked up his first save of the season with a scoreless inning March 8 in the first game of the Radford series, and had the distinction of striking out four men in the inning thanks to a wild pitch
    • Worked three shutout innings March 20 in the final game of the Georgia Tech series, allowing one hit and nothing else
    • Allowed a run on two hits in two innings May 26 in NC State's 15-inning loss to Georgia Tech in the second round of the ACC Championship

    • Emerged as the Wolfpack's most effective relief pitcher

    • Picked up the win in relief Feb. 27 vs. James Madison at Baseball at the Beach, allowing a run on two hits in three innings
    • Held Miami to two hits in 4 1/3 shutout innings March 26, striking out three without allowing a walk
    • Allowed one hit in 1 1/3 scoreless innings April 2 in the first game of the UVa series, then allowed one run on three hits while striking out four in three innings of the finale
    • Earned his first college save April 10 in the middle game of the North Carolina series, working 3 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit, walking two and striking out four
    • Earned his second save April 21 at East Carolina by pitching the final 1 2/3 innings and allowing no runs and no hits
    • Earned his third save of the season April 30 in the opener of the Georgia Tech series, recording the final four outs and notching a strikeout
    • Pitched two scoreless innings May 2 in the finale of the Georgia Tech series, allowing a hit and striking out one
    • Appeared twice in the Florida State series, collecting a save during 3 1/3 scoreless innings

    • Did not allow a run in seven of his first eight appearances, and was unscored upon 11 times in 18 appearances for the season
    • Pitched a scoreless inning February 21 vs. Xavier, retiring all three men he faced

    • Struck out the only man he faced March 4 vs. Akron
    • Pitched a scoreless inning March 18 vs. Elon

    Summer league
    • Returned to the Haymarket Senators of the Valley League in 2010 and made six appearances, five of them starts
    • Pitched for Haymarket in 2009 and went 6-0 with a 1.77 ERA and a save in 12 appearances, nine of them starts
    • Was the ace of the staff as the Senators won the Valley League championship series over Covington
    • Pitched 61 innings and allowed 43 hits, walked 16 and struck out 58
    • Held opposing hitters to a .196 batting average
    • Led the Valley League in ERA and opponents' batting average, and ranked fourth in innings pitched and fifth in strikeouts

    High school
    • Named first-team all-state 3-A by the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association as a senior in 2007 after going 10-0 with a 1.41 ERA for head coach Charles Davis at Aycock High School
    • Recorded 88 strikeouts with just 29 walks in 64 1/3 innings
    • Started and won the state 3-A championship game for Aycock, allowing four hits in six innings of work
    • Went 5-0 as a junior in 2006 before his season ended with a strained ligament in his left arm
    • Went 3-3 with a 0.30 ERA as a sophomore in 2005, working 47 innings and allowing nine walks while striking out 59
