• Recorded a 2.19 ERA and 1-1 record with 11 strikeouts in 18 relief appearances lasting only 12.1 innings
• Made his first career appearance in State's win over Davidson, giving up one hit and no runs in the eighth
• Pitched the eighth inning of the Pack's win over Elon, striking out two
• Closed out the final inning of game two with one strikeout in the Pack's series sweep over Wake Forest, his first weekend appearance
• On the mound for the final 2/3 of State's 4-3 walk-off loss to UNC, inducing a crucial double play before allowing his lone hit, the game-winner to score an inherited baserunner
• Threw the final inning of State's Saturday loss to Virginia, allowing one run on three hits, striking out one
• Pitched an inning of relief against Old Dominion, striking out the side and allowing one hit
• Went 2/3 on an inning, giving up one hit and intentionally walking two batters to load the bases before leaving the game to Dillon Frye, a sac fly saddled Orwig with the loss
• Made two appearances against Clemson, striking out his only batter faced Saturday, and retiring the only hitter he saw on Friday
• Scored his first career win in State's 6-2 Saturday victory over Virginia Tech by pitching the final 3 2/3 innings
