No. 5 NC State hosts Presbyterian for a three-game series on ESPN3, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m.

The Pack (34-11) will return to the diamond on Saturday at 6:30 before wrapping up with a Sunday finale at 1 p.m.

Presbyterian (23-22 overall, 9-9 in the Big South) took the midweek off after a 1-0 series-deciding loss to Coastal Carolina last Sunday.

The Wolfpack also cleared its schedule for exam week, following a split with No. 1 North Carolina last weekend. State evened up that series with a 7-3 win on Saturday before being rained out on Sunday.

The win helped NC State climb to No. 5 in the national rankings, according to Baseball America and Perfect Game. That standing is the Pack's highest since vaulting to No. 2 in 2003. The Wolfpack was also ranked No. 2 in 1993.

State has not lost a series in its last five tries. The Pack has trailed in 10 of its last 12 weekend games, but has come back to win nine of them. This weekend marks the first meeting between NC State and Presbyterian.

Earlier this week, both Trea Turner and Carlos Rodon accepted invitations to play for Team USA this summer. Turner and Rodon are also making headway in the NC State record books.

Turner's .430 batting average would be the highest for a single season in NC State history if the season ended today (Chris Cammack, .429 in 1969). Turner's .512 on-base percentage is also in range of the Pack's single season record (Tom Sergio, .526 in 1997).

Rodon's 105 strikeouts in 2013 are seven shy of tying for 10th on the single season leaderboard. The single season record is 147 by Matt Donahue in 1992. Rodon has 240 for his career, good for eighth all-time at NC State. He needs 16 to tie Cory Mazzoni for seventh and 146 to tie Terry Harvey for the record.

All three games will be streamed live on Radio coverage for the weekend will be handled by 88.1 WKNC. Fans can also follow along with live stats from, or on Twitter via @NCStateBaseball.
