NC State has been named one of 16 regional hosts for the 2013 NCAA Baseball Championship for the second year in a row, and fourth time under head coach Elliott Avent.

All four of the Wolfpack's hosting opportunities (2003, 2008, 2012, and 2013) have come under Avent, who guided State to the second-most regular season wins in program history (42) during the 2013 season. The Pack came within one game of the ACC's Atlantic Division title, and within one win of the ACC Tournament championship game, en route to its 44-14 record.
