    Holliday Accepts Position at Auburn

    June 20, 2014

NC State pitching coach Tom Holliday resigned from his post with the Wolfpack on Thursday, accepting a position with Auburn baseball.

"When you have the kind of experience Tom has, you're going to have great opportunities," said head coach Elliott Avent. "I wish Tom and his family all the best and Auburn and thank him for his years of service and his role in helping to build NC State."

In eight seasons on staff, and seven seasons as NC State's pitching coach, Holliday coached five All-ACC pitchers and four All-Americans. He had 15 hurlers selected in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, including a first-rounder, second-rounder, a fifth-rounder, a sixth-rounder, two eighth-rounders and an 11th-rounder.
