RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State concludes its brief two-game home stand on Tuesday night when it hosts Florida State at PNC Arena at 7 p.m. The Pack will be looking to extend its winning streak to three games with a victory over the Seminoles.

The FSU game marks a quick turnaround for the Wolfpack, coming a mere 74 hours after it captured a 90-89 overtime win over Virginia Tech. Against the Hokies, four of the five State starters played 40-plus minutes.

Tuesday's meeting features five of the league's top scorers highlighted by State's C.J. Leslie, whose 15.6 points per game rank sixth in the conference, and Michael Snaer, who averages 14 points per outing rank 11th in the ACC. Snaer, who has become known for his propensity to knock down the big shot has already has two game-winners to his credit this season, so the Pack defense will need to be ready when he has his hands on the ball.

Richard Howell, who is averaging a double-double of 13.2 points per game (15th) and an ACC-best 11.0 rebounds per contest. Teammate Lorenzo Brown averages 12.9 points per game (19th) and leads the conference in assists with 6.7 per game. FSU's Okaro White rounds out the quintet of conference scoring leaders playing tomorow, averaging 12.2 points per game (24th).

NC State's offense, which ranks No. 2 in the conference with 78.4 points per game, will again be challenged to push the pace by an FSU offense that operates to at a more deliberate pace, scoring 67.3 points per contest.

The Wolfpack currently holds a 27-21 edge in the overall series, and is 23-19 in ACC competition. The Pack's edge is due to a 12-game winning streak from 1998-99 - 2003-04. Since that season, the Seminoles have won seven of the last 12 and have taken three in a row from the Wolfpack.

Tuesday's contest is the first game of a home-and-home series between the Wolfpack and Seminoles this season. NC State travels Tallahassee on March 9 to close out the regular season.
