What are some things you like to do off the court?
Off the court I like to relax and listen to music. I like Dom Kennedy a lot. But I just like to chill and listen to music.
Your father, Tony, also played basketball at NC State. What does that mean to you that you both played for the Wolfpack?
It's great that my dad played here as well. Back then they had a great tradition and I try to live up to that. It's been great to play where my dad played.
What have been some of your favorite moments as a player this season?
All of our wins. I think that if the team is winning all of the individual stuff will come. I try to take it one game at a time and play every game like it's my last.
Averaging better than 23 points per game, you score in so many ways. What do you consider as your go-to move on offense?
I'm at my best transition. I like to get out and run and find an open spot. My teammates have done a good job finding me. I'm a pretty good finisher. I just try to finish at high rate and try to stay efficient.
What do you think about your improvement from last year to this year?
Last year as a freshman, we had so much talent around me. There wasn't as much work to do as far as scoring. I was just trying to be productive. The older guys taught me a lot. They taught me the plays and what to expect in college basketball. From this year to last year, I'm like a veteran guy now. I try to lead the best way I can. I just need to keep getting better so we can be playing well in February and March.
What do you enjoy as a student here at NC State?
I enjoy the sports management program. I like that we get to interact with other student-athletes. It's good for us to talk about our plans if sports don't work out, like all of the recreation opportunities and some who want to be an athletic director someday.
