RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State senior guard C.J. Williams sustained a hairline fracture to his left thumb during Thursday's practice.  Williams will be out of action for an undetermined amount of time.

Last season, Williams averaged 4.7 points per contest, while playing in 31 games with four starting assignments.

NC State will hold its Red-White intra-squad scrimmage Saturday, Nov. 5, at the RBC Center 30 minutes following the conclusion of the NC State-North Carolina football game at Carter-Finley Stadium.

The Wolfpack opens the 2011-12 season with an exhibition contest against Flager on Nov. 7, followed by its regular-season debut on Nov. 11 when it hosts UNC-Asheville. Both contests are at the RBC Center and start at 7 p.m.
