    Raleigh, N.C. - Rodney Purvis is one of three McDonald's All-American recruits joining the NC State men's basketball team.

    Purvis averaged 26.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists as a senior at Upper Room Christian Academy. He was named the 2012 North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year and the Associated Press North Carolina Men's Prep Basketball Player of the Year. This past summer, he was a member of the USA Basketball team that won the gold at the FIBA Americas U-18 Championship
