RALEIGH, N.C. - The 16th-ranked NC State men’s basketball team closes out the November portion of its home schedule with a post-Thanksgiving game on Friday, when it hosts UNC Asheville at PNC Arena at 7 p.m.

This is the 18th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Bulldogs, with NC State owning a 17-0 mark in the previous meetings.

Both teams enter Friday’s game looking to get back on the winning track after each experienced losses at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.  NC State fell to Oklahoma State, 76-56, in the championship game of the event, while UNC Asheville is trying to stop a four-game slide. The Bulldogs suffered losses to Tennessee (75-68), Akron (82-63) and Providence (72-67) in Puerto Rico. Their streak began with a loss to UNC Wilmington, 67-59, in its second game of the season.

The Wolfpack is led by freshman T.J. Warren, who was named the ACC Rookie of the Week after averaging 19.3 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per contest and shooting .686 from the field in helping NC State advance to the Tip-Off championship game. Warren scored 22 and 21 points in wins over Penn State (72-55) and UMass (94-76), respectively. He added 15 in the loss to the Cowboys.

The Pack is 30-5 all-time in games occurring around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Friday’s game will be broadcast on ESPN3, with Roy Philpott handling the play-by-play and Paul Biancardi providing the color commentary.

Fans can also tune into the NC State Radio Network with the veteran broadcast team of Gary Hahn and Tony Haynes. Hahn will describe the action and Haynes will provided analysis of the play.

To purchase tickets, fans can contact the NC State ticket office at (919) 865-1510 or click here: single-game tickets.
