    In 2011: Saw action in all 13 games in 2011, playing mainly on special teams ... In for a career-high 10 snaps from scrimmage in the win over No. 7 Clemson ... Tallied three special teams tackles in the UNC victory.

    In 2010: Played mainly on special teams, he saw action in eight games ... Only action from scrimmage came in the season opener with Western Carolina ... Named the defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the BC game.

    In 2009: Redshirted after undergoing surgery for a hip injury.

    Prep: Played linebacker for Coach Rob Carpenter at Lancaster High School... Registered 66 tackles, two sacks, and grabbed two interceptions during his senior campaign... Also played running back, rushing for 751 yards on 124 carries and 13 touchdowns in 2008... As a quarterback, completed 15-of-31 pass attempts for 234 yards and five touchdowns as a senior... Voted a 2008 all-area special mention... As a junior, tallied 88 tackles, 2.5 sacks, snagged two interceptions, and had one fumble recovery for 60 yards... Also rushed for 377 yards on 44 carries and completed seven passes for 163 yards and a touchdown as a junior... Selected to the all-state second team, as well as earning all-district, all-area, and all-conference honors as a junior... Prep Star named him to the All-Midwest Region class of 2009 ...
