    OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: As a player - A first-team All-New England defensive back at Northeastern; An NCAA I-AA honorable mention All-American; Led the nation in interceptions with 11 in 1987; As a coach - Coached in two national championship games at Florida State, including the 1999 squad that won the Sugar Bowl and helped Coach Bobby Bowden post his first undefeated record at 12-0; The 1998 Florida State squad led the nation in pass defense; Coached 2001 honorable-mention All-ACC cornerback Brian Williams; 2002 Wolfpack defense was first in the ACC in total defense (300.8 ypg), pass defense (175.5 ypg), and sacks by (48); Coached 2002 All-ACC first-team member Terrence Holt.
