    COACHING EXPERIENCE: College - Safeties coach/special teams coordinator at NC State (2004-present); Linebackers coach at NC State (2002-03); Defensive graduate assistant at NC State (2000-01); Defensive cinematographer at Florida State (1998-99).

    PLAYING EXPERIENCE: Named to the Miami Herald 1991 All-Dade County Scholar-Athlete squad for football, basketball and baseball.

    EDUCATION: Earned a B.S. in communications from Florida State in 1995.

    PERSONAL DATA: A native of Miami, Fla.; Married to the former Stephanie Cerow of Coco Beach, Fla. Has two sons, Colin (6) and Gavin (1). His father, Manny, was elected mayor of Miami, Fla., in November of 2001.

    OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: As a coach - 2002 Wolfpack defense was first in the ACC in total defense (300.8 ypg), pass defense (175.5 ypg), and sacks by (48); Coached 2002 All-ACC first-team member Dantonio Burnette; Saw junior linebacker Pat Thomas earn second-team All-ACC honors in 2003.

    BOWL EXPERIENCE: As a coach - 1999 Fiesta Bowl (Florida State), 2000 Sugar Bowl (Florida State), 2000 Micron.pc Bowl (NC State), 2001 Tangerine Bowl, 2003 Gator Bowl, 2003 Tangerine Bowl.
