    In 2011: Transferred to NC State from Colorado, he will sit out the 2011 campaign and then will have two years of eligibility.

    At Colorado: Entered the 2010 season as the starter left defensive end, but missed the first portion of fall practices after undergoing arthroscopic surgery in July to mend a cartilage injury ... As a freshman (2009), played in all 12 games ... In 192 snaps from scrimmage, he recorded 10 tackles (eight solo, one for a loss, two for zero gains), along with two passes broken up, a forced fumble, a third down stop and a quarterback chasedown (near-sack) ... Posted a season/career high three tackles (all solo) at Texas, one was for a loss and the other two for no gain ... Recipient of the team's Lee Willard Award, presented to the most outstanding freshman, and he was a first-team Freshman All-Big 12 team member as selected by Rivals/Yahoo! Sports.

    Prep: A two-time letterman, he was named first-team All-Erickson League and first-team All-New England for Class A by the New England Prep School Athletic Council at the Salisbury School for coach Chris Adamson ... Split time at defensive end and outside linebacker and finished the season with 70 tackles, including six sacks and six forced fumbles ... Also blocked two punts and he also averaged about 2.5 quarterback hurries per game, as well ... Missed his junior season after sustaining an injury in the weight room prior to the season ... As a sophomore, saw action at defensive end and compiled 40 tackles with seven sacks and had a fumble return for a touchdown ... Salisbury completed an undefeated 9-0 season while earning the Erickson League and New England Prep School championship ... Lettered twice in basketball ... Earned Honor Roll status his junior and senior years in high school.
