William Lee Named to 2006 ACC All-Academic Team
Long snapper William Lee has been named to the 2006 ACC All-Academic football team for his work in the classroom and play on the gridiron. Lee, a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, finished his eligiblity in 2006 after serving as the team’s long snapper for the past three seasons. He completed his undergraduate studies with a perfect 4.0 and was named to the dean’s list in every semester.
Only two of the 208 punts Lee snapped for resulted in blocks in his career, and only one place kick out of 85 extra points and 58 field goal attempts was blocked. Lee finished his career with 20 special team’s tackles in 35 straight games played.
He was also named an ESPN The Magazine CoSida Academic First Team All-American in 2006.
