RALEIGH, N.C. - A total of 23 former NC State players opened the 2013 NFL season on NFL rosters. Below is a recap of some of their performances in the third week of the NFL season.
David Amerson started his third consecutive game in a Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions. Amerson tallied 3 tackles and two pass deflections in the game, and has 13 total tackles on the season.
Audi Cole played mainly on special team in the Vikings Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns, 31-27.
Jerricho Cotchery caught three balls for 52 yards with a long of 26 yards in a losing effort to the Chicago Bears. Cotchery has 10 receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown so far on the year.
Tj Graham recorded 1 catch for 5 yards in a 27-20 loss to the New York Jets. Graham also has helped out in the return game this season for the Bills.
Steven Hauschka had another 9-point game for the Seattle Seahawks this past week in a Week 3 win over win over the Jacksonville Jaguars 45-17. Hauschka was 1/1 on field goals, a 21-yarder, and 6/6 on extra points. He remains perfect on field goals and extra points.
Nate Irving had 9 total tackles for the Bronco defense in the 37-21 win over the Oakland Raiders.
Ted Larsen and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a loss to the New England Patriots 23-3. Larsen played behind starter Jeremy Zuttah in the losing effort.
Manny Lawson and the Buffalo Bills suffered a loss to the New York Jets 27-20, despite Lawson’s season high 14 tackles. Lawson has 23 total tackles on the year.
Terrell Manning played in his first game as a Charger this past weekend. Manning did not register a tackle in the 20-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Philip Rivers and the Chargers suffered a loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, 20-17. Rivers went 20 of 24 for 184 yards and one touchdown.
J.R. Sweezy is having a great year at offensive guard. The Seahawks are currently 3-0 with their last win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, 45-17.
Stephen Tulloch and the Detroit Lions were able to rebound after their Week 2 loss with a win over the Washington Redskins 27-20. Tulloch recorded 6 total tackles.
Mario Williams and the Buffalo Bills suffered a loss to the New York Jets 27-20. After Williams set the franchise record with 4.5 sacks in Week 2, the Jets seemingly game planned for him all week. Williams was neutralized and recorded two tackles in their loss.
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are on a roll with their last victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, 45-17. Wilson went 14 of 21 for 202 yards, with four touchdowns and one interception on the day.
Earl Wolff and the Philadelphia Eagles lost their Week 3 Thursday night matchup to the Kansas City Chiefs 26-16. Wolff had 5 total tackles in the game.
Willie Young and the Detroit Lions bounced back with a win against the Washington Redskins 27-20 this past Sunday. Young recorded 5 tackles in the winning effort.
