RALEIGH, N.C. – Week 4 of the NFL season might have been the most impressive showing for former Wolfpack players. All three 2013 draft picks earned starts, and the Pack was the only school in the nation with three former QBs earning the start as well.
David Amerson started his fourth consecutive game for the Redskins in a win against the Oakland Raiders. Amerson recorded his first NFL interception, taking it back 45 yards for a touchdown.
Audie Cole played on special teams for the Vikings in a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in London, 34-27.
Jerricho Cotchery caught five passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ losing effort to the Minnesota Vikings. Cotchery currently has 15 receptions for 248 and two touchdowns so far this season.
Mike Glennon started his first NFL game in the Bucs’ 13-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Glennon completed 23-of-43 passes for 193 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions in the game.
T.J. Graham hauled in two passes for 32 yards for Buffalo in a big 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Steven Hauschka kicked the game-winning field goal for the Seattle Seahawks in a 23-20 overtime win at the Houston Texans. Hauschka made all three of his field goals, with his longest from a distance of 48 yards. He remains perfect on field goals and extra points for the season.
Nate Irving had three total tackles in a great effort by Denver over Mike Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Broncos won the game 52-20.
Manny Lawson and the Buffalo Bills won their last game 23-20 against the Baltimore Ravens. Lawson recorded five tackles and a sack and the Bills are currently 2-2.
Tobias Palmer was promoted to the active roster this week, and will help the Jaguars at slot receiver and on special teams. The Jaguars suffered a loss to the Indianapolis Colts, 37-3. The Jaguars are currently sitting at 0-4.
Phillip Rivers and the Chargers beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-21. Rivers was 35-of-42 for 401 yards, throwing three touchdowns. The Chargers are 2-2.
J.R. Sweezy is having a great year as a starting offensive guard. The Seahawks are currently 4-0, with their last win at the Houston Texans, 23-20.
Stephen Tulloch and the Detroit Lions are currently 3-1 after a 40-32 win over the Chicago Bears. Tulloch recorded 14 tackles in the home win.
Mario Williams recorded a sack against the Baltimore Ravens, helping the Bills to a 23-20 home win.
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks had an amazing comeback against the Houston Texans. After being down 17 points in the fourth quarter, the team rallied to pull off the win, 23-20. Wilson attempted 23 passes and completed 12 for 123 yards and one touchdown. He also had 10 rushing attempts for 77 yards.
Earl Wolff started his second career game this week against the Denver Broncos, but the Eagles suffered a 52-20 loss. Wolff registered seven tackles.
Willie Young and the Detroit Lions are currently 3-1, with their last win against the Chicago Bears, 40-32. Young recorded one tackle.
