Johnson, Wentz Named ACC Players of the Week

Raleigh, N.C. - Senior center Cam Wentz and junior cornerback Dontae Johnson were each named ACC Players of the Week for their performance in the Pack's 37-6 win over Wake Forest this past weekend.
Wentz tallied 13 knockdown blocks to help pave the way for the Wolfpack's 428 yards of total offense in the win over Wake Forest. Making his 36th consecutive start at center, Wentz was in for 86 snaps from scrimmage and posted the offensive line's top grade of 88 percent.
Johnson matched up against Wake Forest flanker Michael Campanero for most of the game in the Wolfpack's 37-6 win over the Demon Deacons. In the game for 55 snaps from scrimmage, Johnson limited Campanero to five catches for just 14 yards, shy of his average of 8.5 receptions and 86.3 yards. He tallied five solo tackles, including a three-yard tackle for loss, and forced a fumble in the second half.
Tobais Palmer was also honored this week, as he was named the CFPA National Kickoff Returner of the Week. Palmer returned the opening kickoff of the second half 100 yards for a score, tying the score record for longest kickoff return in school history.
Also on Monday, The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that ESPN has declared its final six-day option of the year for the games of Nov. 24, including NC State's home finale against Boston College. ESPN will hold five ACC controlled games and announce those gametimes and networks no later than by noon on Sunday, Nov. 18.
