    – The NC State men’s golf team finished 15th at the Louisiana Classics Invitational at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.

The Wolfpack fired rounds of 289 and 295 on Monday, and shot a 309 today to finish at 29-over 893.

Sophomore Albin Choi was again the Pack’s top finisher at even-par 216 to place in a tie for 14th. He entered the final round in the top-5 but a 4-over 76 today saw him drop a few spots on the leader board. He did, however, record his fifth top-20 of the year, and 15th in 19 career collegiate events.

Senior Chad Day had far-and-away the best round of the day for State with a 1-under 71 to finish tied for 37th at 4-over 220.

Seniors Graham Baillargeon and Mark McMillen tied for 70th at 13-over 229.

Junior Mitchell Sutton finished in 84th at 18-over 234.

LSU cruised to a final score of 17-under 847 to win the event by 14 shots over runners-up Tulsa and SMU (-3).

LSU’s Andrew Presley shot a final round 2-under 70 to edge teammate Sang Yi for a three-shot victory at 10-under 206 in the individual competition.

State will take part in the Schenkel Invitational on March 16-18 at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga.
