Richardson, Wood Lead Wolfpack To 15th Place At Schenkel

STATESBORO, Ga. - The NC State men's golf team finished 15th at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational Sunday. The Wolfpack shaved four strokes off its first round score of 307 in the second round, but shot 19-over-par in the final round at the par 72, 6,962-yard Forest Heights Country Club. Jerry Richardson and Banks Wood led the team with 11-over totals.
Wood led the Wolfpack after the first two rounds, but Garry Hill had the team's best round of the tournament, with a two-over score in round two. Hill finished one stroke behind Richardson and Wood. Taylor Crosby and Andrew Byrd both carded their best scores of the event in the final round.
Duke won the invitational with a four-over total, while Mark Anderson from South Carolina and Jon David Kennedy from Georgia Southern tied for first place at one-under.
