Men's Golf Completes Day Two at Hootie at Bulls Bay

AWENDAW, S.C. – Led by junior James Chapman’s score of 72, the NC State men’s golf team finished the second day of competition Monday at the 2014 Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate.
Chapman cut four strokes from his first-round score of 76 to shoot an even-par 72 Monday at Bulls Bay Golf Club. He now ranks tied for 25th in the 75-golfer field.
Teammate Logan Harrell has remained steady through the first two days of play, carding scores of 73 and 74 to sit tied for 21st place with a two-round score of 147 (+3).
As a team, NC State shot a 306 (+18) at the course on Monday. The Pack has now accumulated a score of 593 (+17) through the first two days of competition. State is tied for seventh with Kentucky and ranks ahead of Atlantic Coast Conference foes North Carolina and Duke, in addition to Charleston Southern, South Carolina-Aiken, GRU Augusta, Wisconsin, and Akron.
NC State will begin Tuesday’s final round at 8 a.m. Johnson will lead things off for the Pack and will be followed by Page (8:10 a.m.), Cooke (8:20), Chapman (8:30), and Harrell (8:40).
