Men's Golf Continues Climb in National Rankings
RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State men’s golf team continues its impressive season, as the Wolfpack continues to improve in various national rankings heading into the home stretch of the season.
The Pack has competed in eight tournaments so far this school year, finishing in the top-10 each time out, and its lowest finish was sixth place. The Pack has also finished second in four of those tournaments, including two of its last three times out.
On the season, NC State has compiled a 91-17-1 record against the competition, including 30-12-1 against teams that were ranked in the top-50 at the time.
NC State is currently #16 in the Golf World/Nike Coaches Poll and #22 in the Golfweek/Sagarin poll. In www.golfstat.com’s rankings, which are by stroke average, the Pack sits 15th nationally with an adjusted scoring average of 72.61.
The Pack returns to action this weekend, as NC State will host the River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C., this Friday and Saturday.
