Men's Golf Takes Sixth in Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate
Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's golf team finished in sixth place this weekend, as the Pack hosted the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate at the Devils Ridge Golf Course in Holly Springs. The Wolfpack finished at seven-over par for the tournament, and placed two individuals in the top-15. Charlotte took home top honors after a third round score of 284 put the 49ers at 12-under for the tournament, while Tulsa's Mitch Cohlmia won the individual title by one stroke as he was 8-under for the three rounds.
Chase Duncan was the Pack's top finisher for the tournament, as he was one-under for the three rounds and finished in ninth place. Jerry Richardson made a strong improvement over his first round score of 77, and fired rounds of 68 then 71 to finish at even par and in 14th place. Nathan Spoon was the third Wolfpack golfer to finish in the top-20, as his final score of two-over placed him in 20th place.
The NC State golf team will next compete in the ACC Championship.
