    SPRING LAKE, N.C. - Four former NC State golfers finished in the top five of the Tarheel Tour's Anderson Creek Open at Anderson Creek Golf Club Thursday. Garth Mulroy and Fernando Mechereffe tied for second place, earning $3,433.33 each, while Jason Moon and David Sanchez tied for fifth place and took home $1,825 each.

    Mulroy shot the day's low round of 69 to finish five strokes under-par, along with Mechereffe, who posted a 68 on the first day. They lost to Jason Martin by one stroke. Sanchez carded a second round 69 and ended up four-under, along with Moon. Other former Wolfpack golfers in action included Korky Kemp, who shot one-over and won $825, Chris Mundorf, who shot two-over and won $725, Justin Walters, who shot three-over and won $643.75 and Wesley Horne, who carded a first round 69 and finished 12-over to pocket $250.
