    RALEIGH, N.C. -

The NC State men's soccer team returns to conference action this weekend, as the Pack will host the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Dail Soccer Field.

The game will be available to be watched online, here. Live stats are also available, here.

NC State enters the contest at 3-3 on the season, but 0-2 in ACC play. The Pack is coming off of a 5-1 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday, and has outscored its non-conference opponents 14-3 this season. In ACC play, NC State fell to No. 3 North Carolina, 2-1, and at No. 5 Maryland last weekend, 3-1.

The Pack has had multiple players contribute to the offensive attack this season, as 11 different players have registered at least one point, and seven players have found the back of the net for the Pack's 15 goals. A trio of players have three goals apiece through the first six games, seniors Akil DeFreitas and Chris Zuerner and sophomore Michael Smith.

Redshirt junior Will Mackvick has played every minute in goal this season, recording a GAA of 1.62 and making 24 saves. NC State has started the same four on defense in every game this season, seniors Lucas Carpenter and Tyler Lassiter and freshmen Gbengha Makinde and Sonny Mukungu.

The Pack is 2-1 at home so far this season, outscoring its opponents 9-2 in those contests.

NC State leads the all-time series against Virginia Tech 10-4-1, including a 7-1 advantage in games played in Raleigh. Last season, the Hokies came away with a 2-0 home win, and the last time the Pack hosted Virginia Tech was a 2-0 win by NC State in 2008.

Virginia Tech comes into the contest with a record of 1-4-1 on the season, but 0-0-1 in ACC play under first-year head coach Michael Brizendine. The Hokies earned a 1-1 tie with Clemson last weekend in their conference opener, and are coming off a 1-0 loss at Davidson Tuesday night.

Robert Alberti and David Clemens have combined to score six of the team's nine goals this season. Kyle Renfro has started the last three games in the Hokies' goal, and has given up just two goals in those contests.
