NC State men's soccer returns home to host Davidson on Tuesday at Dail Soccer Stadium, beginning at 7 p.m.
The Wolfpack (3-1-1) tied Virginia 3-3 (2OT) last Friday night in Charlottesville. The Pack's season-high scoring effort came on goals from Nazmi Albadawi, Nick Surkamp, and Clement Simonin. In his first career start for the Wolfpack, Michael Bajza assisted Simonin in the 87th minute to put the Pack ahead 3-2.
Through five games, Simonin and Surkamp share the team lead with two goals apiece. Albadawi, Alex Martinez, Holden Fender, and Davi Ramos have contributed one each to provide State with a balanced scoring punch.
Martinez, Simonin, and Gbenga Makinde lead the squad with two assists each. Both Martinez and Simonin added an assist in the draw with Virginia.
Friday in Charlottesville marked the first time this season that the Wolfpack defense has surrendered more than one goal in a match. Goalkeeper Fabian Otte sports a 0.92 GAA through 491 minutes. The senior has 16 saves and two shutouts on the season.
NC State owns a 26-4-3 advantage in the all-time series with Davidson. Tuesday's matchup will be the first meeting since a 1-1 tie in 1993.
