NC State men's soccer hosts No. 2 Notre Dame on Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m. at Dail Soccer Stadium. Saturday's match will be streamed live on ESPN3.com.
The Wolfpack (4-3-4, 1-3-3 ACC) enters the match ranked 47th in the national RPI, in need of a jolt to solidify an NCAA at-large bid. State will have that opportunity against second-ranked Notre Dame (7-0-5, 4-0-3).
The Irish sit atop the Atlantic Coast Conference standings and rank No. 2 according to polls by Top Drawer Soccer, NSCAA, and College Soccer News.
The Pack offense will be led by Nick Surkamp and Clement Simonin. Surkamp leads NC State with four goals on the year. His two game-winners ties for fourth in the conference. The redshirt junior's nine points are good for the team lead.
Simonin has made an impact in his first year with the Pack, tallying three goals and two assists for eight points to follow Surkamp. Alex Martinez has four assists to tie for sixth on the ACC leaderboard.
