No. 35 Men's Tennis Hosts No. 37 UNCW

RALEIGH, N.C. - The 35th-ranked NC State men's tennis team will take the court against No. 37 UNC Wilmington Saturday, Feb. 23. The match is scheduled to begin at noon inside the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
The Wolfpack enters the contest with a 5-5 record on the season, after falling to No. 47 Middle Tennessee State, 4-3, this past Tuesday. The Seahawks (6-2) lost to No. 48 South Carolina, 4-3, on Wednesday.
Freshman Thomas Weigel will try for his team-leading 17th win of the season, and ninth in dual singles. Weigel won his last match against MTSU's Christoph Lang, in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (12), to remain undefeated. The Bocholt, Germany native has won five of his eight victories on the season in straight sets, including his last three.
UNCW features two ranked doubles pairs, as Chris Cooprider and Kosta Blank are ranked eighth, while Rafael Aita and Sam Williams are No. 45. Aita is also ranked in singles play, checking in at No. 17.
State owns a mark of 7-1 in the all-time series, with UNCW claiming its lone win last year, 4-3, on March 6, 2012, in Wilmington, N.C.
