No. 20 Men's Tennis to Play Final ACC Road Bouts
RALEIGH, N.C. - No. 20 NC State will it the road for its final two ACC road bouts over the weekend, traveling to No. 48 Georgia Tech and No. 28 Clemson. The Pack will face the Yellow Jackets on Friday, April 6, at 2 p.m., before battling the Tigers at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 7. Georgia Tech enters the weekend at 5-12 (2-5 ACC), while Clemson stands at 22-8 (2-5 ACC).
The Yellow Jacket’s David North is currently ranked No. 29 nationally in singles, while The Tigers feature a trio of ranked netters. Rok Bizjack is slated at No. 113, while Ryan Young (No. 116) and Clement Reix (No. 122) follow. Reix and Young combine to form the nation’s No. 39 doubles combo.
A season ago, the Wolfpack fell to the Yellow Jackets, 4-3, at home, before dropping the Tigers, 4-3. The win marked the first time the Pack downed Clemson since 1978.
State trails in the all-time series against both schools, posting a 6-23 record against Georgia Tech and a 7-45 stint against Clemson.
