RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's tennis team, seeded fourth in the 2013 ACC Championships, will face the fifth-seeded Clemson Tigers Friday, April 26 at 9 a.m., at the Cary (N.C.) Tennis Park. Both teams received a first-round bye, after garnering one of the top-five seeds in the championship.

The Wolfpack enters Friday's match with a 13-9 record on the season and a 6-4 mark in the ACC. The six conference wins and fourth-place finish are the best for the program since the 1980 season when the Pack finished first in the conference with a 6-0 record.

Clemson approaches Friday's tilt with a 17-6 mark on the season and an identical 6-4 record in conference play. The Tigers are led in singles play by Yannick Maden, 23rd in the latest rankings, who is 24-7 on the season.

In doubles play, Maden has teamed up with his younger brother Dominique Maden to form the nation's 11th-ranked duo.

State won the regular season contest between the two teams on March 22, taking a 4-2 decision in Clemson, S.C. The Pack won the doubles point and claimed singles wins from Austin Powell, Dave Thomson and Beck Bond to seal the win.

NC State boasts a record of 11-2 when winning the doubles point with its only two losses against nationally ranked teams.

Powell leads the team with 21 victories, while his 12 dual singles wins are tied for the club lead with Bond and Thomas Weigel.

Powell also owns the team's best record against ACC opponents at 7-3, highlighted by wins over Florida State's 109th-ranked Dominic Cotrone and then 124th-ranked Brett Clark of UNC.
