    Men's Tennis Set for ITA Regional Championships

    RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's tennis team will compete at the ITA Regional Championships in nearby Chapel Hill, Oct. 14-18. The Wolfpack will have 11 student-athletes competing in singles competition, with five combos participating in doubles play.

    "We're looking forward to it as a team, because it's our first true team event of the school year," said head coach Jon Choboy. "We are ready and we've been working hard, so it'll be good to get out there as a team and really get after it."

    David Chermak, Ivan Sanchez Gomez, Akash Gujarati, Dominic Hodgson, Rob Lowe, Rafael Paez, Jaime Pulgar, Will Rollinson, Julian Sullivan, Dave Thomson and Sean Weber will all play in the singles rounds, which begin on Friday.

    The five doubles tandems consist of Chermak and Lowe, Hodgson and Sullivan, Pulgar and Sanchez Gomez, Rollinson and Paez and Dave Thomson and Weber.

    Thursday will consist of one round of doubles play, while Friday will feature two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. Saturday, Sunday and Monday will all have one round of doubles and two rounds of singles action.
