    RALEIGH, N.C. – Former NC State men’s tennis player, Jaime Pulgar, has been enjoying success on the ATP Pro Tour. Pulgar has collected 12 wins to date, including advancing to the semifinals of two different tournaments. 

    The Spain native had an impressive month of September, advancing to the semifinals of two tournaments in his home country on back-to-back weekends.  Pulgar collected three wins in each tournament to advance to the semifinal matches.

    He is currently ranked No. 784 worldwide in the men’s singles rankings and has been ranked as low as 768 during the tour. Four of his 12 total wins have come against higher-ranked opponents, highlighted by a straight set win over No. 410 Niels Desein of Belgium, 6-3, 7-6 (6).

    During his playing days with the Wolfpack, Pulgar was a three-time All-ACC selection. He ranks fifth in school history for career victories with 75.
