NORFOLK, Va.-- NC State wrestling dropped nine of 10 matches Thursday night, and fell on the road to No. 23 Old Dominion, 34-3.

The Monarchs improve to 13-8 overall, while the Wolfpack fall to 4-8.

Old Dominion jumped out to an early lead by winning the first match at 125 when Jerome Robinson defeated Wolfpack freshman Coltin Fought by decision, 10-3. The Wolfpack did not fare much better in the match at 133 as Ben Elliott was pinned by Scott Festejo of ODU. After the first two matches the Monarchs were ahead by a score of 9-0.

Redshirt senior Darrius Little, ranked 11th nationally at 141, got the Wolfpack on the board beating Taylor Moeder by decision 3-2. At the end of the first period the match remained scoreless as neither wrestler was able to score on his opponent. Little recorded an escape with 20 seconds remaining in the second period to get on the board first. The Wolfpack senior would add a takedown to his score in the third period and hold on to win 3-2. The two wrestlers also wrestled at the Pembroke Classic on November 19 with Little winning by decision 7-5. With the win, Little now has 94 career victories and is tied fourth in school history for career victories. He is now 30-9 on the season, which makes him just the 12th wrestler in school history to record a 30 win season.

At 149, sophomore Matt Nereim fell to Brennan Brumley by decision 6-2. The Monarchs would get major decisions from John Nicholson and Tristan Warner over Thomas Gantt and Nijel Jones at 157 and 165, respectively.

Wolfpack senior Quinton Godley dropped a close match at 174 to the No. 14-ranked Te Edwards. Godley trailed after the first period 2-1 and was not able to overcome his opponent as Edwards held on for the win 5-3.

Old Dominion would get another pair of major decisions from Billy Curling and Matt Tourdot over Robert O'Neill and Josh Davis at 184 and heavyweight, respectively. Junior wrestler KaRonne Jones dropped his match at 197 by a close decision 2-0 to Joe Budi of ODU.
