Little Advances at NCAA's

ST. LOUIS, Mo.-- Redshirt senior Darrius Little has collected three wins and has advanced to the 6th round in the wrestleback bracket at the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Little has earned North Carolina State 3 team points, getting a point for each win.
Redshirt senior Darrius Little started off the NCAA tournament on a high note, defeating Luke Goettl of Iowa State, 6-4. Little dropped his next match to Nick Dardanes of Minnesota, but fought back and won his next two matches in the wrestleback bracket. Little's next match will be at 6 p.m. CT against Zach Neibert of Virgina Tech.

Freshman Coltin Fought, 125-pounder, wrestled against Anthony Zanetta of Pittsburgh in his first match, dropping a 14-4 decision. After falling in his first match, Fought received a bye in the second round of the wrestleback bracket. In the third round of the wrestleback bracket, Fought fell to Pat Rollins of Oregon State in a close decision, 3-2 and as a result has been eliminated from competition.
At 149, sophomore Matt Nereim squared off against Scott Sakaguchi of Oregon State in his first match. Nereim fell to Sakaguchi by decision 8-4. After the loss, Nereim fell to the wrestleback bracket where he was eliminated in his next match against Kyle Bradley of Missouri, 9-5.
Senior Colton Palmer wrestled at 157 against Tommy Churchard of Purdue in the opening round and fell to the Boilermaker, 11-1. In the wrestleback bracket Palmer dropped his second match to Matt Lester of Oklahoma and was eliminated.
Quinton Godley, Pack senior at 174, dropped his opening match to Tyler Koehn of Nebraska, 3-2. In the wrestleback bracket, Godley fell to Peter Huntley of Navy 5-3 and has been eliminated.
