    Match Notes

    RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State wrestling team will compete in its first dual meets of the season, as the Wolfpack will host the Wolfpack Duals on Sunday. The Wolfpack Duals will be held at Cardinal Gibbons High School this year, and admission is free.

    The Pack will face Gardner-Webb at noon, Lindsey Wilson at approximately 1:30 p.m., and UNC Pembroke at approximately 3 p.m. Two mats of action will be going on simultaneously.

    NC State has started the 2013-14 season strong, competing in four open tournaments over the last three weekends. The Pack had all three of its wrestlers place at The Citadel Open to start the season, then three wrestlers placed at the Pembroke Open and another three at the Virginia Tech Open two weeks ago.

    The majority of the Pack was in action last weekend at the Wolfpack Open, as 11 Wolfpack wrestlers finished third or higher on the day. Senior Nijel Jones (165) and redshirt sophomore Nick Gwiazdowski (285) claimed first-place honors for the Pack.
