    209 NC State Student-Athletes Named to ACC Honor Roll in 2011-12 That number was just four shy of the school-record 213 student-athletes that were honored last year

    ACC Honor Roll List

    RALEIGH, N.C.     -- NC State had 209 student-athletes named to the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday.

    That number was just four shy of the school-record 213 Wolfpack student-athletes that were honored in 2010-11.

    Now in its 56th year, the ACC Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. The conference acknowledged a new record 2,903 student-athletes for their hard work in the classroom during the 2011-12 academic year.

    NC State had three of the conference's 26 student-athletes that are five-time recipients: Gregory Dame (cross country), Robert Moldovan (cross country/track and field) and Vance Williams (baseball).

    ACC Cross Country Runner of the Year Ryan Hill was among 19 ACC Players of the Year named to the list in 2011-12.

    Starting quarterback Mike Glennon headlines a group of 23 NC State athletes that were selected for a fourth time.
