The 2015-16 season will be Mike Murray's third as the Director of Operations for the NC State women's basketball program. Murray was an assistant coach for the last seven years (2006-13) at Tennessee-Chattanooga under Wes Moore.

"He wore a lot of hats for us at Chattanooga," said Moore. "From film editing and travel, to on the court coaching, he did it all for us. He brings a lot of versatility and someone who is familiar with the way we want to do things and make that transition easy for us as we take over here at NC State."

Murray served as an assistant to Moore beginning with the 2006-07 season and worked extensively with post players. He was a key figure on four NCAA Tournament clubs and made six total postseason appearances. The Lady Mocs owned a 168-59 record with Murray on the bench.

"I'm so excited to be here at NC State and join the Wolfpack family," said Murray. "I'm thrilled to be able to continue working with one of the best coaches in the country, Wes Moore.

"Our coaching staff is eager to get NC State Women's Basketball back on top."

Murray, who spent the 2005-06 season as Director of Operations for the Chattanooga men's basketball team, oversees the daily operations of the Wolfpack women's program. That includes scheduling team travel and practices, as well as serving as a liaison for the coaching staff and the team with all the different facets that make up the athletic department and other constituents across NC State's campus.

He helped the Lady Mocs win five regular-season Southern Conference titles and four SoCon Tournament championships. Before his time with Moore, Murray spent two seasons with the Mocs' men's team, first as a student assistant in 2004-05, before moving to the operations role the following season.

A 2003 graduate of Appalachian State, Murray was a men's basketball manager for three seasons. Upon graduation, he spent one season at Milligan College as an assistant coach during the 2003-04 campaign.

Murray completed work on his Master's degree in education in May 2006 from UTC.
