TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The NC State women's basketball team heads to No. 19/20 Florida State for a Thursday ACC tilt on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. Both teams boast 4-1 records in their last five games.

Since falling to the Seminoles on Jan. 20 by a score of 82-74 in Raleigh, the Wolfpack have won four of five and seek its first win in Tallahassee since 2004, having dropped the last three games at the Tucker Center. The Pack has lost the last two meetings by three points each, including a 74-71 decision in 2010. Then freshman Marissa Kastanek led four Wolfpackers in double figures with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting (4-7 3FG).

NC State looks to also improve on its 8-1 record on February 14 or Valentine's Day. In a weird coincidence, the last three games on Feb. 14 have all come against Miami with NC State prevailing in each contest. The Wolfpack downed Florida State, 64-60, in 2002 in the only previous meeting between the two schools on Valentine's Day.

The Wolfpack defense has been the catylist of late, limiting its opponents to a mere 51.2 points in the four wins, and allowing its rivals to shoot just 29.2 percent from the floor.

Junior Kody Burke is 12 points away from 1,000 career points. She would become the 29th member to reach that scoring plateau in program history. She scored a team-leading 16 points against FSU in January.

Kastanek is only 20 points away from becoming the No. 10 all-time scorer at NC State. She will begin the day with 1,549 points, the 12th most by a Wolfpack women player.

Florida State, who will wear pink uniforms, socks and shoes as part of its annual "Paint it Pink" game, sits fourth in the ACC standings at 9-3 in the league. The 'Noles are coming off a 93-78 win at Sunshine State rival Miami on Sunday. Winners of four in a row at home, Leonor Rodriguez paces five double-digit scorers at 16.1 points per game, while Alexa Deluzio is chipping in with 14.3 ppg. The duo combined for 40 points in the win over the Wolfpack last month at Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State hosts Georgia Tech as part of the eighth-annual Hoops 4 Hope game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., on ESPN2. The Wolfpack will don a brand-new pink themed uniform for the matchup with the Yellow Jackets.
