Wolfpack Women Prepare For Rematch With Tigers

Tonight's Matchup: Tonight's ACC showdown pits the NC State Wolfpack (13-14, 7-9) against the Clemson Tigers (17-10, 9-7). Clemson is the third seed for tonight's game, while the Wolfpack will be the sixth seed for the 25th annual ACC Tournament.
The Opponent: Chrissy Floyd led the Lady Tigers to a 63-52 victory over NC State on Monday with 26 points on 10-14 shooting from the field. Krystal Scott added 13 points and seven assists to give the Tigers their eighth victory over the Wolfpack in the last 11 matchups between the two schools.
The Series: NC State has captured seven of the 11 meetings with the Tigers in the ACC Tournament, including an 84-61 victory over the Tigers in 1991 to win the ACC Championship. The largest margin of victory for NC State is 32 in 1983, while 23 is the widest margin for a Tiger victory over NC State (1993).

The Coaches: Head Coach Kay Yow is in her 27th season on the Wolfpack bench and owns a 567-248 (.696) mark at NC State and a 624-267 (.700) overall record. She ranks fifth among active coaches for all-time wins and was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in June 2000. Yow has been named a finalist for the Naismith Coach of the Year Award for the previous two seasons.
Jim Davis is in his 15th season at Clemson and owns a 316-148 (.681) record during that time. For his career, Davis is 335-156 (.682) in 16 years as a head coach. Daivs is 20-17 (.541) in his 37 meetings with the Wolfpack since the 1987-88 campaign.
